Angela, Scott & Lynda | Family Photography in Midlothian

Every once in a while, I meet a couple whose story becomes woven into my own... and Angela & Scott are exactly that. From the very beginning, they’ve trusted me to capture some of their most meaningful moments, and being their Richmond photographer has been one of the sweetest blessings in my career.

I still remember when I photographed their engagement session a couple of years ago at the VMFA. There was so much joy and anticipation in their smiles while they were planning their wedding at the Hannover Golf Club. Not long after, I was there to document their wedding day, surrounded by family and friends celebrating the start of their life together.

And then came all the little chapters that turn into a big, beautiful story…

Their pregnancy announcement, filled with excitement.
Their first gender reveal, finding out they were having a sweet baby girl.
Their maternity session as they prepared to welcome baby Lynda.
Lynda’s newborn session, those tiny little fingers and toes that I still remember so well.
Her sweet smash-the-cake session, where we celebrated her first big milestone with frosting everywhere and lots of laughter at the studio.

And now, here we are again... Angela is expecting their second baby girl, Jolie. This time, we photographed their session at Shiplock Park in downtown Richmond and at the Virginia State Capitol Square. The evening gifted us the dreamiest golden hour glow, and I couldn’t be happier with how sweet and full of love these images turned out. Watching Lynda get promoted to “big sister” is such a full-circle moment. Soon, I’ll be celebrating her first birthday party, and I already know it will be another memory I’ll love capturing.

What makes this story so special is the people. Angela & Scott, and now their growing family, hold such a special place in my heart. I feel so incredibly blessed to be the one photographing their journey.This is what I love most about being a photographer!
