As a Richmond family photographer, few things bring me as much joy as photographing families in the beautiful settings that our city has to offer. One location that will always have my heart is the beautiful Maymont Park and that was the chosen location for the Mytsyk family session. I love how gorgeous the day was—can you tell by the colors of the images?

Lauren’s family was an absolute joy to photograph—they brought a warmth and energy that made every moment in front of the camera feel natural and full of life. We could capture those cute candid moments by the golden hour, which is my favorite time to photograph.

One of the things I loved most about this session was the thoughtful choice of outfits. The Mytsyk family selected colors and styles that perfectly complemented the lush, vibrant surroundings of Maymont Park. The soft, neutral tones of their clothing created a beautiful balance with the greenery in the park, and the girls looked adorable in their dreamy dresses.
