Some couples bring an ease and joy that’s felt immediately, and Maeve and Liam are exactly that kind of pair. Their connection is full of laughter, warmth, and a quiet steadiness rooted in the life they’re building together.
They love spending time outdoors, hiking through nature, and slowing down at home watching their favorite shows — a balance that reflects so beautifully in the way they interact with one another. As a Richmond wedding photographer, this is the type of story that I love to learn about!
A Relaxed Engagement Session at Forest Hill Park
We met at Forest Hill Park in Richmond, Virginia, which turned out to be the perfect setting for their engagement session. With its open greenery, soft light, and peaceful atmosphere, the park allowed everything to feel unhurried and natural.
Originally, we had planned to photograph at Maymont — a location that holds special meaning for them — but a scheduling change led us to Forest Hill Park instead. Sometimes the unexpected choice becomes the perfect one, and this session was a beautiful reminder of that.
A Love Rooted in Faith and Connection
Maeve and Liam met at church, and their shared faith is a meaningful foundation in their relationship. While they’re both outgoing and joyful, there’s also a grounded calm between them — a sense of being exactly where they’re meant to be when they’re together.
As we wandered through the park, moments unfolded effortlessly. From whispered jokes that sparked laughter to quiet pauses where everything slowed down, their connection told the story without needing direction.
Golden Light Under the Willow Tree
One of my favorite moments from their session was beneath the willow tree, where the afternoon light filtered softly through the branches. The glow, the stillness, and the way they leaned into one another made that part of the session feel especially meaningful.
I’m beyond excited to photograph Maeve and Liam’s wedding in 2025 at a beautiful venue in Farmville, Virginia. If their engagement session is any indication, their wedding day will be filled with joy, laughter, and heartfelt celebration.
