Class of 2025 & 2026—it’s time to book your senior session for spring!

I always say that senior portraits hold a special place in my heart alongside weddings, and Gerda’s session is the perfect example of why. She is absolutely GORGEOUS—inside and out! Not only does she have such a unique beauty, but her energy made this session so much fun.

Gerda is one of those people who instantly lights up the room. She’s confident, kind, and has a timeless elegance that made capturing her senior portraits an absolute dream. Her mom, Ieva, was incredible throughout the entire planning process, making sure every detail aligned with Gerda’s vision for the shoot. And can we talk about how much they look alike? Truly, beauty runs in the family!

From the moment we started planning, I knew this session was going to be something special—a mix of modern, urban vibes with classic outdoor elegance. Plus, Gerda’s makeup and hair were flawlessly done by @transformationsartistry, which gave her that effortlessly polished look.

Spring in Richmond, VA is one of my favorite seasons for senior sessions. The weather is perfect, the flowers are blooming, and the golden-hour light makes everything magical. Gerda wanted a mix of urban and natural settings for her portraits, so we planned a two-location session to capture the best of both worlds.

We started at @ironcladrva—one of my favorite spots in downtown Richmond. Their industrial-style interior and cozy atmosphere added a chic, modern touch to Gerda’s portraits. Fun fact: I love stopping by Ironclad for their Jazz Fridays from 11 AM - 1 PM—if you haven’t been, you NEED to check them out!

After capturing some gorgeous indoor and outdoor shots, we made our way to one of Richmond’s beautiful parks for the second half of the session. The train tracks, open fields, and lush green gardens made for the dreamiest backdrop! This part of the session gave Gerda a more natural, effortless feel in her photos—and it was my favorite part of the day!
